Groundbreaking Celebration at The Meadows Of Napa Valley Draws 150 Dignitaries And Guests
(Napa Valley, California) February 7, 2008 – The Meadows of Napa Valley, a 20-acre Senior Living community in Napa, is expanding its community and services, marked by a Groundbreaking Celebration that occurred on Saturday, January 26, 2008, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Fair weather greeted the more than 150 dignitaries, residents, executives, and partners, who enjoyed a one-hour program, a Groundbreaking Ceremony, and a Celebratory Reception.

Guests gathered in The Meadows’ Fellowship Hall to hear presentations by Napa Mayor Jill Techel, Meadows Executive Administrator Wayne Panchesson, and Erin Williams from Theta Rho Girls Club. The Master of Ceremonies was Meadows Marketing Director Kent Fry, and in attendance were Napa Fire Chief Tim Borman, Police Chief Rich Melton, and Vice Mayor Mark Van Gorder. Also there in force were ambassadors from the Napa Chamber of Commerce, dignitaries from the Independent Order of Odd Fellows Grand Lodge (owners of The Meadows), and members of the Meadows board of directors. Guests moved outdoors to a festive tent for the turning of the earth, then returned to enjoy gourmet hors d’oeuvres prepared by the Meadows’ Executive Chef Robert Day, with sparkling wine and fine refreshments.
Already Napa’s most comprehensive Senior Living community, The Meadows of Napa Valley is building new Assisted Living apartments and a new Memory Care wing for Alzheimer’s and other memory impairing conditions. The Main Entrance, Lobby, Atrium
Lounge and Bar, Café, and Dining Room will also be renovated for a brand-new look.
The developer is Pacific Retirement Services, Inc. (PRS), a national not-for-profit Senior Living organization that also manages and markets The Meadows of Napa Valley. Construction is by Wright Contracting, Inc., headquartered in Santa Rosa, California.
